The Arizona Cardinals didn’t make the playoffs in 2016 but they will make another run at the Super Bowl in 2017

There was a lot of things that didn’t go right for the Arizona Cardinals in 2016.  Not everything went south but it sure seemed like every corner that was turned there was more bad news.

Will 2017 present the myriad of bad news that 2016 did?  Maybe.  Knowing the Cardinals front office however I would expect they would do everything in their power to avoid a repeat next season.

Certain things will have to happen for the Cardinals to get back to the postseason.  First, they have a lot of their own free agents to make decisions on.  Then they have to go out and look for replacements for those they decide not to bring back.

All of that will culminate with the 2017 NFL Draft at the end of April.  The Cardinals 2016 class didn’t give us much, although cornerback Harlan Miller played well on Sunday.  They can’t all be gems but the Cardinals will need to draft well and smart to help improve their standing next year.  They finished 7-8-1 in 2016.

So what will happen in 2017?  Here are five things that are boldly predicted for next season’s version of the Arizona Cardinals.
