Arizona Cardinals: 5 possible CB free agents

Dre Kirkpatrick

Kirkpatrick is another five-year veteran that will make most defensive coordinators happy.  He has nine interceptions in his career, including three in 2016.

At 6’1 and 27-years old, Kirkpatrick will command some money.  He had 10 passes defensed in 2016 and 16 in 2015, giving him 26 over the last two seasons.

There are rumors that his current team, the Cincinnati Bengals may be interested in bringing him back using the franchise tag.  Word is he would cost them about $14.3 million if they do that.

That’s not a price the Cardinals likely would be able to find room to match with.  So this again is a dream choice but also someone who would fit in Arizona.

The Bengals have a couple of other guys they could use their tag on, so a tag isn’t necessarily pending or waiting for him.  It is just a possibility at this point.  Either way, don’t bet on him coming to Arizona but keep an eye on all of these free agent corners.
