10. Larry Fitzgerald 100th-career touchdown vs. New England Patriots
He made 107 receptions in 2016. That was good enough to lead the NFL. In his 13th season in the NFL, Larry Fitzgerald finally reached the 100-touchdown mark.
He didn’t waste much time getting there as he completed the feat in the first game of the season against the New England Patriots. It wasn’t just your run-of-the-mill reception either.
With a flare for the dramatic, Fitz made an over-the-shoulder grab on a pass from Cardinals starting quarterback Carson Palmer. Fitz ended up with eight receptions for 81-yards and two touchdowns on the evening.
It was a great start for him personally to the season even though the Cardinals ended up losing. Fitz ended up with six touchdowns on the season.
Now the hope from Cardinals fans is that Fitz doesn’t retire. The Cardinals could use at least one more season of his services and if he continues to make catches like the one here, then as long as he feels his body can handle it, there is no reason Fitz can’t make the same contributions in 2017.
