The Arizona Cardinals employed five of the top 101 players in the NFL in 2016

For those Arizona Cardinals players that made the top 101 players of 2016, a list complied by Pro Football Focus, I think most can agree belong on the list.  There are a couple of names I would have added to the list that didn’t make it, cornerback Patrick Peterson and linebacker Markus Golden.

Pro Football Focus looks at things a little differently than others.  Even then it is still looked at objectively.  We may not agree with the list.

Narrowing the list to the best 101 players is not an easy thing to do. The Cardinals, who finished 7-8-1 actually got kind treatment from the folks at Pro Football Focus.

The best part about the list is it really doesn’t matter except for its fun to argue opinions.  It doesn’t change the outcome of last season.  The New England Patriots are still the Super Bowl champions.

What it does do though is it gives us some perspective on how other viewed our favorite players. Certainly every team could say that some more of their players could have made the top 101, but remember, the list can only fit 101.  That’s less than three players per team.
