Calais Campbell

Campbell came in right after Johnson at number 24.  Once again, you will find little argument from me or many other Cardinals fans.

Campbell, who is a free-agent, played like a guy who was ready for his last big contract.  He especially played well down the stretch.

He has eight sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, an interception, and his first-career touchdown.  It was certainly an improvement over 2015.

Campbell scored on a fumble recovery against the New Orleans Saints in December.  He had come close a couple of times earlier in his career to scoring but this happened to come in possibly his final home game in Arizona.

He may not get the best offer on the free agent market from the Cardinals.  Some are resigned to the idea he won’t be returning.  Some still want to see the Cardinals do whatever it takes to keep him.

Either way, Campbell deserves this spot at 24.  The only question is will he get to try to improve on that in Arizona or elsewhere?
