The Arizona Cardinals could find some gems on day two of the 2017 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft is the biggest event of every off-season. It’s a chance for not only the Arizona Cardinals, but every team to add young talent to the roster, and to hopefully find the next group of stars to lead the way for the next decade or more. More than free agency, it’s the preferred way to build a contending team.

The Cardinals have some veteran players that are potentially playing in their last season in 2017. They also have a large number of free agents, and could see some roster turnover. Having a solid draft is as important this year as it has ever been.

The first round pick is the one that most fans look at the hardest. It’s usually the biggest name, and drafts are often judged based on that one pick. However, day two is just as big. Finding starting caliber talent in rounds two and three could stead the organization for years to come.

Day two of the draft is huge, even if the names aren’t as well known as the guys in round one. Here are five prospects who could be day two picks, and that the Cardinals could target, who could become big-time players at the next level.
