One of the more intriguing wide receiver prospects this year is former Oklahoma Sooner Dede Westbrook. He is a big time play-maker, and an NFL-ready deep threat. Character questions have dogged him, though, and his slip could benefit some team picking outside of round one.

Speed is the name of the game when looking at Westbrook. He averaged over 19 yards per catch in 2016, and scored 17 touchdowns. His ability to get deep was as impressive as any player in college football. Teams knew what was going to happen. They just couldn’t stop it.

Westbrook doesn’t have great size, coming in at 6’0″ and just 176 pounds. The worry will be that his body will struggle to hold up, and that he’ll be bullied by NFL cornerbacks. He will also have to answer questions about some incidents involving domestic violence from when he was younger.

The Cardinals love receivers who can get deep, and his size won’t be a concern, based on the other receivers they have on the roster. Another speedy receiver alongside Larry Fitzgerald makes sense if they think he can hold up playing regularly. He certainly has loads of talent. He could be a steal on day two.
