Arizona Cardinals: Can act just like Oscar winners
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals haven’t said a lot about what they plan on doing this offseason
Yes, the Arizona Cardinals have told us they are looking for their future quarterback this offseason. No, we don’t know how they plan on going about doing it.
Many assume, yours truly included, that they will attack that plan in the draft. There really isn’t a lot to choose from in free agency. No, they aren’t trading for Jay Cutler or Tony Romo.
Is it all an act though to be setting us up for something unexpected? Based on history, yes. Remember the Logan Thomas draft choice? No one saw that coming. How did that turn out?
The Cardinals have let some local media know they may be looking at running backs this offseason, maybe in the draft as well. They’ve never come out and admitted as much.

Last season the Cardinals showed us all their acting skills in All or Nothing. Turns out the all was just nothing. It was a fun documentary on the 2015 season but it was nothing like what we saw in the 2016 product.
The Super Bowl is now three weeks old. The Super Bowl of music happened two weeks ago. The Super Bowl of movies and of NASCAR is today.
The Super Bowl of player movement is in less than two weeks from now. The Cardinals haven’t tipped their hand with what they will do with their own players much less who they might be interested in out in the open market.
Just like tonight’s Oscars, what the Cardinals have planned next is all a guessing game. Unlike the Oscars, what the Cardinals do will be remembered longer than a three-hour television event.
We shall find out March 9th what free agency brings and April 27, 28, and 29th what the 2017 NFL Draft brings. Exciting times to be an Arizona Cardinals and football fan.
Let’s just hope in 2017, the Arizona Cardinals are more action and less talk. That’s something Hollywood could take a cue on.
