The Arizona Cardinals have a long list of unrestricted free agents. Who will return, and who will move on?

When the NFL’s free agency feeding frenzy officially begins on March 9th, the Arizona Cardinals -will have a long list of players who could end up with new addresses for the 2017 season. The future of at least one player – Arizona Cardinals outside linebacker Chandler Jones – is already known, as the Cardinals placed the franchise tag on Jones.

For the free agents not named Chandler Jones, however, the future is less clear. In fact, the Cardinals’ limited cap space makes significant attrition a foregone conclusion. This can be frustrating for fans – especially when talented and popular players like Calais Campbell are counted among the players with uncertain futures.

But, alas, the world keeps turning, the roster keeps churning, and new players step into roles vacated by departing free agents. Before the Cardinals know which current players will step into larger roles, or which free agents they might bring into the fold, Arizona Cardinals’ General Manager Steve Keim will need to make decisions regarding the Cardinals’ own free agents.

With this in mind, let’s look at some of the Cardinals’ upcoming free agents, and their likelihood of returning for the 2017 season.
