Arizona Cardinals: Two more free agents move on
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals saw two more players move on to other teams
On Saturday it was reported that former Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Earl Watford has moved on to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He joins Calais Campbell, who signed a contract with the Jags on Thursday.
Watford was one of those flexible parts that could move along the line wherever he was needed. He is another great personality that is leaving the desert.
While Watford had his ups and downs, he was a mainstay over his first four NFL seasons. The Cardinals drafted him in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
Jacksonville has been shelling money out the past couple of days to free agents like the term was going out of style. You can’t blame them for trying.

The other player to fly the birds nest on Friday was kicker Chandler Catanzaro. After the Cardinals decided not to tender him an offer on Thursday, he was released.
There was some thought he could come back at a lower price and compete with newly signed kicker Phil Dawson in training camp. However that seemed like slim chance at that.
Catanzaro signed a contract with the New York Jets on Friday. The Jets are currently going through a youth movement, so he should fit in fine there as he will be entering his fourth season in the NFL in 2017.
He also has familiarity with Jets head coach Todd Bowels who was the former defensive coordinator in Arizona. However if he thought the Arizona media and fans were tough on him, he has another thing coming if he struggles in New York. I wish him the best.
We know the Cardinals were going to see a big roster turnover and it is all unfolding. However the Cardinals should still be able to put together a nucleus to win in 2017. Fixing issues like the kicking game goes a long way in doing that.
