Morris Claiborne is young and talented, and could help the Cardinals secondary

A lot has been said about the need for a starter at cornerback, opposite Patrick Peterson, in Arizona. They used Marcus Cooper at the spot for most of last season to mixed results. Cooper is now a free agent, and the Cardinals will be looking for an upgrade for 2017.

Morris Claiborne hasn’t had the career that he wanted so far. The former sixth overall selection struggled badly to start his career, and has suffered a number of injuries that have limited him over the last several seasons. He has flashed some talent, though, when on the field, and is still young enough to make a difference.

Cornerback stands as a big need for the Cardinals. Many are predicting they will use their first round pick to address it, but if they can get a good starter in free agency, it will also help a lot. Claiborne has some risk attached to him, but if he stays healthy, he could make a big difference.
