Arizona Cardinals: Free agent decisions still loom
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals still have some of their own free agents to make decisions on
Even with the moves of re-signing Frostee Rucker on Friday and loosing linebacker Kevin Minter to the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday, the Arizona Cardinals still have some of their own free agents to make decisions on.
With all of the movement the Cardinals have seen with their own free agents moving on, you’d think there would be none left. Maybe the biggest decisions remaining are cornerback Mike Jenkins and linebacker Sio Moore.
Jenkins may be a late summer decision. He is coming off an ACL injury from last training camp. There is a good chance the Cardinals will move on but the door is open to bringing him back if the Cardinals can’t find viable depth at corner.
As for Moore, weeks ago I said the Cardinals should seriously consider bringing him back. They could still do so of course. There has been no movement from either end there so far in the first 10 days of free agency.

After the Cardinals surprisingly re-signed Andre Ellington, that certainly spelled the end of the Chris Johnson era in Arizona. There has been no news on any movement from the running back either.
Also still a free agent is running back Stepfan Taylor. Taylor, drafted by the Cardinals in 2013, has found playing time hard to come by in Arizona. He is mainly a contributor on special teams.
The only other Cardinals free agent out there not signed is guard Taylor Boggs. I would suspect the team will move on from him. No word on any movement on him either.
There could still be some movement by the Cardinals in free agency for bringing other players in but for now the Cardinals will likely start moving into final draft planning. The draft is just over a month away on April 27-29.
