The Arizona Cardinals should be very busy during the month of April with a number of things on the NFL calendar

It will be a busy month for the Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL.  It is probably the most exciting month of the off-season.

The NFL Draft is coming up April 27-29th.  This year the event is being held in Philadelphia.  It was held in Chicago the last two years.

The first round is Thursday evening April 27th.  The second and third rounds will be held on Friday evening April 28th.  The fourth through seventh rounds will be held during the day on Saturday April 29th.

Not only is the draft happening, the NFL also typically releases its preseason and regular season schedules in the month of April.  Look for the preseason schedule to likely come out sometime in the upcoming week.

We already know the Arizona Cardinals will open the NFL preseason against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night August 3rd at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.  They will play a total of five preseason games.

The regular season schedule is expected to come out sometime during the week of April 17th-21st.  If I were a gambling man, and I am, I’d say look for the schedule to come out Tuesday or Wednesday that week.

A lot to talk about in continued preparation for the draft.  The Cardinals seem to be putting up smoke screens on every position.  They say they don’t need a cornerback.  Coach Bruce Arians said this past week he sees up to seven good arms in the draft.

As for the schedule, there will be a lot of predictions leading up to the release.  We will break it all down and start making out weekend plans for the fall.  Until then, happy mock drafting.
