Arizona Cardinals: 5 possibilities in first round of NFL Draft
By Scott Allen
Jabrill Peppers, S, Michigan
We know the Cardinals met with Peppers, so there is an interest. Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians mentioned last week the Cardinals were already good at cornerback, but that statement didn’t extend to safety.
You have to wonder if the Cardinals are looking for a safety net for Tyrann Mathieu. Matheiu will be entering his fifth season. He has yet to see a full season of success without either an injury or a previous injury slowing him down.
Peppers was a Heisman finalist in 2016. He also won three different awards. He won Defensive Player of the Year, Linebacker of the Year , and Return Specialist of the Year.
You saw that right, linebacker. He’s another Deone Bucannon in the making. Being able to slot him in different spots on the field could prove beneficial to him and his future employer. He has the height at 6’0 that the Cardinals like.
We shall see if Peppers is still around at 13. He definitely will be a first round pick.
