Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson

The line from Clemson to Arizona seems to be direct over the last few years.  The more you hear Arians talk over the last couple of weeks, the more it seems quarterback is still a definite possibility in the first round.

Of course it could all be a smoke screen.  Some are worried about his size and footwork.  I think you’ll find it hard pressed to find the perfect quarterback in this draft.

One thing is for sure, Watson has a good arm.  He is athletic.  He won a national championship.  He certainly brings something to the table.

The plus with Watson is even if some consider him more of a project and not ready to start in the NFL, that would be great for the Cardinals.  He can sit and learn behind Carson Palmer for a year or two.

Someone is going to take him in the first round.  He could be the first quarterback taken and if that’s the case, he’ll be gone before the 13th pick comes around.
