Corey Davis would make an excellent successor to Larry Fitzgerald at receiver

If you follow me on Twitter, then you know that Corey Davis is one of my favorite players in this draft. I think he’s a star in the making, and he has everything an NFL team could want. I have also picked him for the Cardinals multiple times in various mock drafts I have been involved with.

First of all, Davis has the size NFL teams covet at receiver. He’s not just big though. He runs solid routes, catches it smoothly, and is dangerous after the catch. Production is also there. In four years at Western Michigan, he totaled almost 5,300 yards receiving and had 52 touchdowns.

The biggest complain where Davis is concerned seems to be the level of competition. That’s something he can’t control, and he dominated, which is all that can be asked of him. He did have a few drops, but that’s not too much of a concern for me.

I’ve been on the Corey Davis bandwagon since the season ended, and he remains my biggest draft crush. If he’s still available when the Cardinals are on the clock, they should certainly strongly consider taking him.
