The Arizona Cardinals signed 17 undrafted free agents this week following the NFL Draft

The Arizona Cardinals added a number of interesting free agents this week after the completion of the NFL Draft.  In all, they signed 17 players to undrafted free agent contracts.

It is a significant number of players.  Of those 17 players, just one is a quarterback.  The Cardinals are also rumored to be interested in Blaine Gabbert.

The Cardinals brought in some players not as well known around Arizona but some solid players nonetheless.  These are the guys you really want to pay attention to over the next several weeks during OTA’s and mini-camps.

Some come in with a chip on their shoulders not being drafted.  Judging by some of their Twitter accounts, clearly there were some draft expectations.

They now feel they will have a lot to prove.  There are five players that could make an impact this summer with the team and could see themselves signed to a regular contract once camp breaks and the season begins.

This is all just speculation at this point.  None of them have stepped on the practice field yet.  They will have to back up their words and prove they belong in the NFL.
