The Cardinals will need a wide receiver to break out of the pack this season

Larry Fitzgerald was tremendous again in 2016. He had a league-leading 107 receptions, 1,023 yards, and 6 touchdowns for the Cardinals, and made another Pro Bowl. But while Fitz was magic, things were much less settled behind him on the receiver depth chart.

The Cardinals second leading pass catcher last year was running back David Johnson, who caught 80 passes. After that, nobody had more than 39. The receiving corps was unsettled all year. Michael Floyd was released, Jaron and John Brown missed time with health issues, and JJ Nelson just isn’t built to be a full-time player.

Jaron Brown has NFL size and the team would love for him to finally reach his potential. John Brown is a speedster who was hampered by a hamstring injury and the sickle cell trait last year. The team also drafted Chad Williams this year in round three, and he will be in the mix. Somebody has to step up and give Palmer another reliable target.
