Larry Fitzgerald Honored by PFWA

Larry Fitzgerald was given another award, this time from the Pro Football Writers of America
Larry Fitzgerald is one of the greatest players in the history of the NFL. He’s also one of the easiest to like players every to play the game. It was the latter that got him an award from the Pro Football Writers of America, who has honored him with their annual Good Guy Award.
The award is given to a player “whose qualities and professional style in helping pro football writers do their jobs.” It’s just another in a long series of honors for the Arizona Cardinals receiver for the things he does off the field.

Fitzgerald was recently recognized by the NFL, and co-awarded the Walter Payton Man of the Year. In the past, he’s also been given the Art Rooney NFL Sportsmanship Award and the Arthur S Arkush Humanitarian Award. His contribution to the community is well established, and certainly notable.
On the field, Fitzgerald is a certain Hall of Famer. He’s a ten time Pro Bowler who currently sits third all-time in career receptions, eight all-time in career receiving touchdowns, and ninth all-time in career receptions. He’ll be even higher on those lists after the coming season.
As the son of a long-time sports journalist, I'm proud to receive the Good Guy award from @PFWAwriters (Did you vote for me @FitzBeatSr?)

As his career winds down, Fitzgerald continues to play at a high level, and is the greatest player in Cardinals history. His impact on the field can’t be denied. However, as great an impact as he’s had as a player, the things he has done, and continues to do, off the field, are what really sets him apart, and will be his greatest legacy.
