The Arizona Cardinals and Birdgang celebrate these five things they should be thankful to be free from on this Independence Day

First and foremost, Happy Independence Day!  Our window of freedom from football is quickly closing as we near closer to Arizona Cardinals training camp on July 21st.

Then who again wants to be free from football?  Those people aren’t human as far as I’m concerned.

There are several things the Cardinals should be thankful they are either already free from or soon should be free from.  After least season’s 7-8-1 record, a number of factors created that dismal record, a far reach from where they expected to be and where fans expected them to be at the end of the season.

Not everything went wrong.  They had some nice wins too but they were few and far between. The in between is where they had to manage the things they could not free themselves from.

In 2017, the road already looks brighter.  Some players that brought them down are gone.  Yes, some who were huge for the Cardinals last season and beyond are gone.  They were able to go out and get replacements however.

Here are five reasons why the Cardinals should be celebrating their freedom from what happened to them in 2016.  It is time to move onto this season where a couple of items on this list will work themselves out as well.
