The Arizona Cardinals have avoided major injuries however they have started to pile up
The Arizona Cardinals have been in camp for a week now. They have avoided major injuries up until now. They number of injuries being reported however are growing by the minute.
There are always going to be injuries in football. That is a fact of the game. This point of the season players are still trying to get into shape. Some try to do too much in attempting to make the roster.
For some, it is just pure luck or lack thereof. On Friday receiver John Brown was injured but is likely to miss just a week or so.
The Cardinals though also lost receiver Aaron Dobson to a hamstring injury. The timetable for his return is currently undetermined.
The team does have 13 receivers in camp, so from that standpoint having bodies at the position is not an issue. However Dobson has a legitimate chance of making the team if they decide to keep six or seven receivers.

Also injured is cornerback Justin Bethel. I know, shocker, but the fact is he sidelined with a hyper extended knee. He should only miss a couple of days.
His replacement, Ronald Zamort was injured in the Red-White Scrimmage on Saturday. He had to be carted off the field. He had just been bumped up on the depth chart ahead of second-year cornerback Brandon Williams. No word on the extent of his injury yet.
Earlier in the week the Cardinals had to waive a couple of players in Jumal Rolle and Tevin Floyd in which they reached injury settlement with. They quickly replaced both on the roster.
There will be more injuries before the season starts. You can count on that happening. All any of us can hope is that none of the injuries are serious.
This is the time of year injuries are alright to have if they are of the day-to-day variety. Unless of course you are a guy that needs camp and preseason to make the 53-man roster. Well, then it can be devestating to the individual.
