Five Arizona Cardinals Players to Watch at Hall of Fame Game

Blaine Gabbert will get his first chance to shine in a Cardinals uniform against the Cowboys
The Cardinals didn’t make a big splash in free agency in this offseason. They lost big-name guys like Calais Campbell and Tony Jefferson, while their signings mostly consisted of aging veterans who may not have a lot left.
One other player Arizona signed is backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert. This was a bit of a controversial signing. The former tenth overall pick has been mostly ineffective since he was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011.
Gabbert has struggled mightily under pressure in his six NFL seasons, and that is the biggest reason for his poor play. He has a low completion percentage and a lot of turnovers, leading to a career 9-31 record as a starter.
In Arizona, there are hopes that Gabbert could resurrect his career, playing as a backup. He is clearly talented, and he’ll get his chance to start his comeback on Thursday. He’ll start the game, and likely play the entire first half.
