Jarvis Jones is trying to prove he belongs in his first season with the Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have a very good set of pass rushing linebackers. Chandler Jones and Markus Golden combined for 23 1/2 sacks in 2016, and will look for even more this year. A team can never have too many guys to get after the quarterback, though.

Jarvis Jones was drafted in the first round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2013. Unfortunately for them, he didn’t pan out. In four seasons there, he recorded just six sacks despite starting 35 games. He was not brought back after last year.

Jones is looking to revive a career that was once promising. This might be his last chance, and he’s looking to make the most of it. The team certainly hopes he is able to capitalize as well.

A quadriceps injury has slowed him this offseason, and he might not be ready to go in this first preseason game. If he can play, he’s definitely a player to keep an eye on. He wants to succeed, and that should have him playing with abandon.
