The Arizona Cardinals lost their second preseason game after a slow start in the first half

Mistakes, miscues, and poor execution.  Thank God those are words we are attributing to the Arizona Cardinals in a preseason game and not a regular season game.

After the Cardinals lost to the Chicago Bears 24-23 on Saturday night at University of Phoenix Stadium, one thing remained clear.  There is still a lot of work to do.

Offense, defense, special teams all had a hand in the end result on Saturday.  The good news there are two more games to iron things out before the regular season starts at the Detroit Lions on September 10th.

Next week the starters will likely play the entire first half.  It will be their last opportunity to get things worked out.  The backups will likely play the entire game on August 31st against the Denver Broncos.

While there were some good things to come out of Saturday night’s game, there are plenty of things that came out showing the Cardinals have plenty of work to do.  Some things looked bad and some things looked just plain ugly.  Expect the team to be a little sharper next week against the Atlanta Falcons.
