The Good:
Secondary
For a change, the Cardinals secondary didn’t look too bad. They ended up with one interception, a dropped interception and five passes defensed.
Justin Bethel, Tyrann Mathieu, and Brandon Williams all looked decent on Saturday night. Don’t get too excited however. Remember, they were playing a Bears team that is struggling to find an identity in the passing game.
Bears starting quarterback Mike Glennon got off to a good start. However the performance only went so far. He had the Bears driving before throwing an interception to Mathieu, who returned the ball 52-yards.
Bethel looked the best he had in some time as well. He had a beautiful knock down of a pass. Williams just missed an interception but had two passes defensed.
While on paper the Bears quarterbacks looked good, going a combined 21-28 for 165-yards with two touchdowns and the one interception, from an eye test, it appeared to be an improvement by the Cardinals secondary. Now, they need to continue to build on that performance.
