The Arizona Cardinals cuts and subsequent additions to the practice squad leaves some scratching heads
First it was the cut down on Saturday, as if that was bad enough for some. On Sunday, the Arizona Cardinals put their practice squad together, one not including guys like linebacker Cap Capi and safety Ironhead Gallon.
Capi was the leading tackler for the Cardinals in the preseason but that apparently was not good enough for the Cardinals and many fans have taken to social media to get answers. Simply put, he wasn’t good enough.
It was either that or he wasn’t better than the others. He certainly showed fans enough that they’ve spent the weekend wondering what happened.

You must remember a lot goes into the evaluation of a player during these six weeks of training camp. Many of us only see what they do on gameday. This time of year though it is the whole process of practice, meetings, and games.
The evaluations do not stop once practice ends or once a game takes place. We may never find out specifically why Capi or Gallon didn’t make the team.
It puzzles us as much as it does you but there also needs to be an understanding that they don’t have to tell us why they made a particular decision. They may or may not at some point do so.
The Cardinals also decided not to add Scooby Wright to the 53-man roster when many had him making the team as well. He was signed to the practice squad on Sunday.
@Cardschatter I thought that Cap Capi played awesome. Will the cards sign him to the practice squad? Why didn't he make the final roster?

Did Cap Capi park in someone's parking space? 🤔🤔🤔

That is how baffled some are with the decision on Capi. They truly believe Capi did something wrong off the field. Last year coach Bruce Arians did cut someone for parking in his space.
Sometimes it is the little things that separates players from one another. It could have been a minor detail for both Capi and Gallon. Again, we may never find out.
There are a couple of practice squad openings though. Teams can sign up to 10 players. They signed eight. There could be more moves coming on Monday.
