The Arizona Cardinals open the season at the Detroit Lions on Sunday

Football is back.  The Arizona Cardinals will kickoff the 2017 season in Detroit this Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. Arizona time.

There are some players we will be keeping our eye on this weekend.  Some veterans will be going into just another season.  Some others will be playing their first regular season game of their career.

We know the Cardinals plan on using running back David Johnson a lot.  Detroit Lions fans are waiting to see how quarterback Matthew Stafford will perform for the first time with a new contract.  He recently became the highest-paid quarterback in the league.

So many different predictions are out there on how the Cardinals will do this season.  More so there are plenty of predictions on how certain players will perform this season.

The Cardinals feature 17 players who are on their active roster for the first time.  The Cardinals filled gaps on defense, special teams, and in a couple of areas of deficiency on offense.

There are high expectations for the defense and hope for great performances on offense.  We just all want to see improvement on special teams.  That would be a step in the right direction.

For this week against the Lions however, our eyes should be on these three players.  They should all play a key role on Sunday.
