The Good

Defense

As bad as they looked in the fourth quarter they played that well in the first three.  Matthew Stafford threw a pick six to Justin Bethel early in the first quarter right after Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer gave the ball to them.

Bethel played very well in the first half.  he definitely looked like a different player than the last couple of seasons.  His fourth quarter performance didn’t match up but he’s the reason the Cardinals were even in the game in the fourth.

The Cardinals got a good pash rush on Stafford but only ended with one sack.  Stafford was able to get out a few others.  The Cardinals had five tackles for loss on Sunday.

Safety Tyvon Branch had 10 tackles and two passes defensed.  Rookie linebacker Haason Reddick played well.  He had a nice tackle early that forced a Detroit punt.  Eight tackles for him on the day.

Linebacker Chandler Jones had the lone sack for the Cardinals defense.  He had three tackles for loss on Sunday.
