The Arizona Cardinals had their struggles in all phases of game against the Detroit Lions

There has been a lot of talk about the Arizona Cardinals and their season-opening loss to the Detroit Lions.  Many people are having a difficult time finding any positives from the loss.

There are some but for the most part, improvements must be shown in a number of areas. There is no absolving the defense completely despite their tough three quarters of play.

We know the struggles the offense had.  The special teams really had just one glaring blunder on the missed field goal.

This week could be hard to gauge since the Cardinals are playing the Indianapolis Colts without starting quarterback Andrew Luck.  The being said, we should get a better gauge at least of how the offense can bounce back.

People are calling the Cardinals old, worn-out, tired, washed up.  You’ve likely seen all the comments this week yourself.

Everyone has the opportunity this week to do better, even those that made plays in Detroit last Sunday. However there are some that stood out more than others.

These five players need the greatest improvement over week one going into week two in order for the Cardinals to even their record at 1-1.
