The Arizona Cardinals released their first injury report leading up to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night

The Arizona Cardinals injury report for Thursday looks more like they are in the middle of the season, not week three.  Yet here we sit on Thursday evening looking at a report that lists five Cardinals as being limited.

Not only does it list the limited but the two we had a good idea would not practice, receiver John Brown and tackle D.J. Humphries.  Right now, don’t expect either one of them to play on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

The limited players include linebacker Deone Bucannon.  He is reportedly being given a chance to play on Monday.  He has yet to play this season.

Bucannon had surgery in the offseason and originally was expected to miss the first week or two of the season.  However he came off the PUP list the third week of preseason.

There was hope he would play until he had a setback that has left him inactive the last two weeks.  Getting Bucannon back in any manner Monday night would be huge.

Also limited on Thursday were receiver J.J. Nelson, who was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week and Guard Mike Iupati, who missed last week’s game at the Indianapolis Colts.

Tight end Jermaine Gresham was limited but appears headed towards being active.  The Cardinals released tight end Jim Dray earlier in the week.  He had been signed when it was determined Gresham would be a no go against the Colts.

The other player limited on Thursday was linebacker Karlos Dansby,  He is dealing with a hip issue.  No word on his status for Sunday yet.

As for the Cowboys, the biggest names to hit their injury report on Thursday were at cornerback.  Orlando Scandrick was limited and Chidobe Awuzie did not practice. Awuzie has a hamstring injury.  Also cornerback Nolan Carroll missed practice due to concussion.
