The Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles announced their inactives for Sunday’s game at Lincoln Financial Field

For the Arizona Cardinals, we already knew they would be without left tackle D.J. Humphries once again.  They are also without defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche.

For three weeks now it looked like there was a chance Humphries would be able to make a go of it.  However after being limited in practice on Wednesday, he did not practice Thursday or Friday.

For both of them, we can only hope they return next week but at this point don’t hold your breath. It could be another long day on the Cardinals offensive line without Humphries.

The other Cardinals inactives include guard Alex Boone.  There was a hope he could go today as he was listed questionable after Friday’s practice.

Also inactive are quarterback Blaine Gabbert, running back D.J. Foster, linebacker Scooby Wright III, and receiver Chad Williams. This means receivers John Brown and J.J. Nelson are active, which is very good news.

So it appears the Cardinals will go with the same offensive line that got Palmer sacked six times each of the last two weeks.  Might be a long Sunday in Philadelphia.

As for the Eagles, they are without defensive tackle Fletcher Cox.  He was ruled out on Friday. They are also going to be without cornerback Ronald Darby,

Also inactive for the Eagles is running back Wendell Smallwood, receiver Shelton Gibson, offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo, defensive tackle Destiny Vaeao and defensive back Jaylen Watkins.  The key player on that list is Smallwood.

The Eagles missing Cox and Darby are huge for the Cardinals offense but they will still have a lot of Eagles defensive talent to deal with.  Plus, the weather could be less than cooperative on Sunday.

Let’s just hope both teams don’t suffer any major injuries because of a wet field in Philadelphia on Sunday.  With the way things have been going for the Cardinals, there is a lot of need to worry.
