The Arizona Cardinals practiced Wednesday outside of London in preparation for their game against the Los Angeles Rams

The Arizona Cardinals may be practicing almost 5,300 miles away but that doesn’t mean we can’t get good news fast.  The Cardinals only had eight players listed on their injury report on Wednesday.

Of those eight players, just two of them were listed as not practicing.  Defensive tackles Olsen Pierre and Xavier Williams both missed practice.

Six other players were listed as limited in practice.  Included in that group was defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche.  He has been out with an ankle injury.

The fact that he was listed as limited should be a mile surprise.  He didn’t practice the last couple of days last week heading into the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Linebacker Karlos Dansby, running back Andre Ellington, defensive tackle Corey Peters, cornerback Patrick Peterson, and tackle Jared Veldheer all were limited as well on Wednesday.  Peterson has already said he intends to play on Sunday.

More from Raising Zona

Peterson was hurt in the game at the Philadelphia Eagles on October 8th.  He nursed his quad injury during practice last week, limited each day.  However he played against the Bucs.

Peterson did leave the game in the second half after the Cardinals were up 31-6.  That’s when the defense had a let down, allowing the Bucs back into the game.  Coincidence?  Likely not.  We’ll have to pay close attention to his availability closely.

As for the Rams, they had six players not practice at all on Wednesday.  However three of them, including linebacker Connor Barwin, were listed as their absence being non injury related.

The Rams travel to London on Thursday.  They stayed on the east coast after their victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday.

Let’s hope the chilly and cloudy weather at Cardinals practice continues to be the opposite of the news on the injury front.  Though, honestly, we aren’t holding our breath on Nkemdiche’s availability come Sunday.  We’ll see.
