Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson has been with the team for all of one game and has reaped his second award

Let’s not hope people expect it to be like this every week for Adrian Peterson and the Arizona Cardinals.  It won’t be like this every week but another award was handed to Peterson on Thursday.

Peterson won the Fed Ex Ground Player of the Week.  If you have missed it the other several times it has been mentioned this week, Peterson carried the ball 26 times for 134-yards and two touchdowns.

The scary part is he could have had more.  More on a negated 41-yard run.  More had he played more in the second quarter when he got a spell.  More if the Cardinals hadn’t taken their foot off the pedal a bit in the second half this past Sunday.

Whatever the case, Peterson did what he did.  Just don’t expect that performance week in and week out.  He may still not end up being the best fit here depending on what happens down the road.

What we do know is he is a good fit for right now and that’s all that matters.  All else will happen when we reach those bridges.

Peterson is already making his second trip to London this season.  He was with the New Orleans Saints when they played the Miami Dolphins in London on October 1st.

He’s already proven to be one of the more popular players in London based on social media postings.  It is all going well for Peterson right now, something he likely couldn’t envision in week one of the season when he was caught staring down Saints coach Sean Payton.

He will get plenty of opportunity to win more awards as the season wears on, including this week against the Rams.  Right now, Peterson and his teammates would settle for their fourth win of the season.
