Adrian Peterson is about to play in his second game for the Arizona Cardinals and could break two milestones on Sunday
He may only have 134-yards so far with the Arizona Cardinals. However with just 38 more yards on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson will reach 12,000-yards in his career.
Also, one more touchdown puts him at 100 rushing touchdowns in his career. It could possibly be quite a day on Sunday in London for the newest member of the Cardinals offense.
If the Cardinals come out just like they did against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday, then Peterson could take care of both milestones on the first drive of the game. That was against the Bucs and at home though.
Sunday is counted as a road game for the Cardinals and home for the Rams but it will truly feel more neutral. Fans of both teams will be in the stands but certainly there will be a good share of Cardinals fans.

That could go a long way in getting Peterson pumped up once again. The Cardinals don’t play at home again until Thursday November 9th against the Seattle Seahawks.
This is Peterson’s 11 season in the NFL. However he only played in one game in 2014 and three last year for the Minnesota Vikings.
If we are counting milestones, we might as well throw in one more. Peterson is also just 51-yards shy of 2,000 for his career. Not too bad for a guy that is a workhorse on the ground.
Peterson has 215-yards rushing so far in 2017. Only gaining 81-yards in the first four games with the New Orleans Saints hurt him. Depending on when David Johnson is able to return, Peterson, if he remains consistent, and that’s a big if, could approach 1,000-yards rushing by the end of the season.
We’ll see. For now, let’s hope Peterson can nail down those two milestones quickly on Sunday.
