Nine games remain on the Arizona Cardinals schedule after their bye week

The Arizona Cardinals are certainly behind the eight ball as we enter the second half of the NFL season.  At 3-4 and without their starting quarterback, there is no doubt the sledding will be tough but it is a challenge they can overcome.

The Cardinals have five home games and four road games over the last two months of the season. One of those road games is next Sunday in San Francisco.  After next Sunday, just three more road trips, one of which is in week 17.

That will leave just two road games between November 6th and December 31st.  You can’t ask for a better schedule down the stretch.

The Cardinals certainly have had their share of injuries and poor performances but even given all of that, they remain still alive in the playoff hunt.  To stay that way, certainly there can be no more 33-0 efforts.  That team hardly resembled even an average regular season team.

So moving forward with Drew Stanton for now is what it is.  He will be the starting quarterback until Carson Palmer returns.  At least that’s what we’re told by Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians for now.
