Arizona Cardinals: Two miss practice in preparation for 49ers
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals were back on the practice field on Wednesday afternoon
The injury report after Wednesday’s practice for the Arizona Cardinals was not very long at all. That is the good news. The bad news is two players on the short list did not practice.
Linebacker Karlos Dansby and defensive tackle Frostee Rucker both missed practice on Wednesday, their first off the bye week last week. Three other players were listed as limited.
Those listed as limited were running back Andre Ellington. He missed the game against the Los Angeles Rams in London. Also limited were receivers Brittan Golden and Chad Williams.
Williams has been inactive the last several weeks, so his absence is not damaging to the Cardinals right now. One player who was on the list that did practice in full was defensive tackle Olsen Pierre.
Dansby is dealing with a couple of injuries. He has a finger and a hamstring injury. He had to leave the game against the Rams when he hurt his finger making a tackle.

Rucker is also dealing with two injuries. His injuries are listed as a knee and hip. That’s not a good combination for a defensive lineman.
The report though was nowhere even close to as bad as the San Francisco 49ers though. They had 14 players on their injury report Wednesday. Of those 14, nine of them did not practice.
Most notable not practicing were receiver Pierre Garcon, defensive end Elvis Dumervil, defensive end Aaron Lynch, tackle Joe Staley, and defensive end Solomon Thomas. They are a hurting bunch.
Rookie linebacker Rueben Foster was listed as limited in practice. Two others were listed as limited and three players listed as practicing in full.
Clearly the injury report paints a bleak picture for the 49ers this Sunday. We’ll keep tabs on it over the next couple of days. For now, it is nice to see the Cardinals not being the ones with 14 players on the injury report.
