The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams have announced their inactive players for Sunday afternoon’s game

Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson did not practice all week.  Now he has officially been ruled inactive for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Cardinals will have to rely on Kerwynn Williams, D.J. Foster, and Elijhaa Penny to run the ball against a tough Rams defense.  The Cardinals ran for just 25-yards in the first matchup on October 22nd.

They will also be without linebacker Deone Bucannon who was injured last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He is still considered day to day however.

Defensive lineman Corey Peters misses another game as well.  He was ruled out earlier this week. Receivers John Brown and Carlton Agudosi are also inactive.

The other two inactive players for the Cardinals are quarterback Matt Barkley and defensive back Rudy Ford.  With Barkley inactive, that leaves Drew Stanton to be the backup.

As for the Rams, the biggest name missing on Sunday is linebacker Connor Barwin.  Also out on Sunday is receiver Robert Woods.  He had a good day against the Cardinals in London.

Other inactives for the Rams are running backs Malcolm Brown and Justin Davis, defensive back Kevin Peterson, tackle Cornelius Lucas, and quarterback Brandon Allen.  There are no huge surprises here.

As for the Cardinals having no Peterson could really damage their chances to effectively run the ball.  Its not that Peterson was that great the first time, but now without him, you’d have to think the Cardinals may think pass first.

It will be interesting to see how the loss of Barwin and Woods effect the Rams against the Cardinals.  The Rams have plenty of weapons however and should still be a tough matchup for the Cardinals.

With no Brown or Agudosi, look for Cardinals quarterback Blaine Gabbert to try and continue to utilize his tight ends. He has found a friend in Ricky Seals-Jones.
