Sunday’s Arizona Cardinals loss to the Los Angeles Rams felt like three games in one

The Arizona Cardinals pretty much guaranteed themselves staying home in January and watching the postseason on television.  Their 32-16 loss on Sunday to the Los Angeles Rams had so many things happen that there are some likely wondering how was it that close and at the same time, how was it not closer?

Once again, the Cardinals showed us a lot of good.  The good wasn’t sustained enough over 60 minutes however.

What we saw was a large mix of good, bad, and some ugly.  When we’ve seen that this year in the past, that has usually meant a loss for the Cardinals.  Sunday was no different.

This team doesn’t have the personnel that can keep up with the talent of the NFL’s best for a full game if too many mistakes take place.  Looking at the game statistics one could surmise this was much closer game if you didn’t know the score at the time.

Now the 5-7 Cardinals are faced with finishing out the last four games of the 2017 season and then deciding whether there is one more run for glory in 2018 or the future is upon us.  Probably a bit of both.
