The Arizona Cardinals 2017 season may be a bust but the future still looks bright in some spots

In the last offseason, we weren’t sure which direction the Arizona Cardinals were going to go for about the first four weeks.  Then after quarterback Carson Palmer and receiver Larry Fitzgerald announced they were returning, 2017 was all about making one more run for the Super Bowl.

Injuries derailed the Cardinals before the season even started.  They lost running back David Johnson to a broken wrist in the first game.

Even after they lost Palmer in week seven against the Los Angeles Rams, there was a glimmer of hope.  After this past weekend’s loss to the same Rams team now the drive to build for 2018 and beyond has reached us.

Planning for the future of the franchise though should include some current players.  The roster is still riddled with plenty of young talent on both sides of the ball.

There are some players we knew would be good and haven’t disappointed.  There have been young guys that have emerged during the season as possible stars moving forward.

So not all is lost on what we’ve seen so far in 2017.  It gave us a good look at the following players who the Cardinals should be able to build a winner around.  These are guys outside of the David Johnsons’ and Chandler Jones’ of the world.
