The Good

Special teams

Can’t believe this is being written but the special teams played pretty well on Sunday.  Kicker Phil Dawson went 5-5 on field goals.

Not only did Dawson hit all five field goals, he even hit one the Cardinals opted to take off the board.  He also had a perfectly placed chip kickoff to start the second half.  The Cardinals recovered the ball.

Then what can you say about Budda Baker.  He recovered that kick, almost had another recovery.  His name is being called on a consistent basis on both special teams and defense.

Running game

The Cardinals had 141-yards rushing on Sunday.  It was the fourth consecutive game the Cardinals rushed for over 100-yards.

However the Cardinals only went 2-2 in that stretch.  The offense just couldn’t punch the ball in the end zone and turnovers were at inopportune times.

Chandler Jones

Jones registered his NFL-leading 15th sack on Sunday.  He also registered three quarterback hits of Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins.

He was the leading vote-getter at his position as far as fans go for the Pro Bowl voting.  It would be a travesty if the coaches and players didn’t see the same effort.
