J.J. Nelson

Another inconsistent receiver.  Nelson makes a lot of the more difficult catches one can make.  It’s the easy ones he drops.

His performance is enough for at least one head scratcher almost every week.  He has great speed but speed will only get you so far if you can’t run proper routes and can’t make the catches you’re supposed to make.

He has made 28 catches for 490 yards and two touchdowns.  That isn’t going to cut it in this league.  They need more production from a guy that is considered the number three receiver.

He may get one more year in Arizona though.  The Cardinals gave John Brown four years.  Next year will be year four for Nelson.

The patience is growing thin with Nelson though.  The decision to keep him is made easier if he could just hang on to the ball.  It could be a nervous offseason and training camp for Nelson.
