The Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants announced their inactive players for Sunday’s game at University of Phoenix Stadium

After all was said and done, Arizona Cardinals running back Kerwynn Williams will be active after all.  He was a game time decision heading into today’s contest against the New York Giants.

So, how much Williams plays will remain to be seen.  The Cardinals also have D.J. Foster and Elijhaa Penny are both available.

Inactive for the Cardinals on Sunday include receiver Chad Williams.  He was listed on the injury report all week with an illness and didn’t practice on Wednesday or Friday.

Also inactive are quarterback Matt Barkley, defensive tackle Xavier Williams, linebacker Josh Bynes, offensive lineman Earl Watford, linebacker Gabe Martin, and tight end Troy Niklas.  Bynes, Watford, and Niklas had been ruled out on Friday.

As for the New York Giants, amongst their inactives are receiver Tavarres King and linebacker B.J Goodson.  Also inactive are defensive ends Romeo Okwara and Avery Moss, offensive lineman Damien Mama, receiver Kalif Raymond, and quarterback Davis Webb.

For the Giants neither King or Goodson practiced this past week.  They were both ruled out on Friday.

As for the Cardinals, Williams being active likely means he will start.  He is going to be the friend of Drew Stanton on Sunday.  Stanton will need Williams to help him not only on the ground but in the short passing game as well.

While it is disappointing to see Niklas on the sidelines, it is nothing new.  He has had a couple of his seasons cut short by injury.  Look for more Jermaine Gresham and Ricky Seals-Jones on Sunday.

The question is will we see Niklas again in Arizona?  With the emergence of Seals-Jones who knows?  It doesn’t help to be missing games this late in the season when your position will once again be under scrutiny.
