The Arizona Cardinals finish off the 2017 season with a trip to face the Seattle Seahawks

The end is here, at least as far as the Arizona Cardinals (7-8) are concerned.  They can make it the end of the line for the Seattle Seahawks (9-6) as well.

The Cardinals are playing for pride and being a spoiler on Sunday as they can keep the Seahawks from making the playoffs.  At least they can help.  An Atlanta Falcons victory over the Carolina Panthers also takes care of the Seahawks demise.

As for the red birds, they will finish off a injury-prone season that started back in preseason.  Almost every week they’ve lost a player to injury, many heading to injured reserve.

The Cardinals though can finish at .500 with a win. They are 3-1 in the Bruce Arians era at Seattle.

Key players/matchups

As per usual when it comes to the Seahawks, the Cardinals must always be concerned with quarterback Russell Wilson.  He is a threat to take off and run as well as throw his magical passes.

Even when Wilson seems in trouble and nowhere to go, he always finds a way.  Remember his pass to Doug Baldwin in Arizona back on November 9th?

He was almost sacked three times and was about to lose yardage until he found Baldwin on the sidelines?  The play broke the Cardinals back the Thursday night.

The Cardinals counter with Drew Stanton again at quarterback.  He may gotten the Cardinals into the end zone a couple of times last Sunday against the New York Giants but he has not won as a starter in Seattle.

Stanton’s last start for the Cardinals in Seattle in 2014 didn’t go so well.  Despite injuries in their secondary, the Seahawks are still dangerous and likely will create turnovers over errant throws.
