The tide has already started to turn for the Cardinals as far as the Rams are considered.  They swept the Cardinals in 2017 with victories in their “home” game in London and in their December matchup in Glendale.

They outscored the Cardinals 65-16 in the two 2017 games.  They have an offense that can finally move the ball with Jared Goff at quarterback and Todd Gurley at running back.

Don’t be surprised if Gurley gets some MVP votes. The Rams though will be coming off a tough home loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the 2017 playoffs.

The Cardinals haven’t defeated the Rams in Arizona since 2014.  That was the game Palmer tore his ACL.

As good as the offenses have been, both teams defenses are the bread and butter of the organizations, at least for now.  The Rams arguably have the best defensive player in the NFL in Aaron Donald.
