The Arizona Cardinals tight end position could a lot like it did towards the end of 2018
Just like the running backs, the tight end position for the Arizona Cardinals has a good possibility to look the same, at least personnel-wise in 2018. It likely will include Jermaine Gresham again.
Gresham tore his Achilles in the season finale against the Seattle Seahawks a coupe of weeks ago. Given the healing time though, he will likely be available for training camp in August.
As for the rest of the depth chart, Ricky Seals-Jones was a nice surprise late in the season. Look for him to challenge for a starting position come August as well.
Troy Niklas is a wild-card. He has not been able to stay healthy for a complete season. When he has been healthy he has been inconsistent.

Bruce Arians built the position as block-first, catch-second. The numbers back that assertion up year after year.
The new head coach may have a different look for the tight ends. Having the extra blocker though helps. The offensive line needs all the help they can get.
They can be the friend of a quarterback though. It would be nice to see more production from the position next season. Seals-Jones has good hands and could be a valuable asset for whoever takes the ball under center for the Cardinals next season.
The others on the current roster at tight end, Ifeanyi Momah and Gabe Holmes could be on the outside looking in. Momah ended up on injured reserve halfway through the 2017 season.
The Cardinals also are in limbo at receiver. They still have a lot of decisions to make there. Getting some stability from the tight ends would be nice.
You just have to wonder how many chances Gresham gets though. He will be on the second year of a two-year contract in 2018.
