The Arizona Cardinals may invest a lot into a quarterback this offseason but they have a number of other needs as well

Most of the talk this offseason for the Arizona Cardinals has centered around the quarterback position.  Of course these is also the Larry Fitzgerald saga that wrapped up with a decision to return last week.

However in just three weeks, the new NFL league year is set to begin.  So is the free agency signing period.

The Cardinals should be active players in free agency this year.  They have needs or positions they still can possibly upgrade at.  About the only position exempt is running back.

Pretty much every other position can be up for some scrutiny.  That includes safety, linebackers, defensive line, receivers, tight ends, and even kicker and punter.

Ok, so punter Andy Lee might be safe but don’t count on kicker Phil Dawson returning just yet.  The Cardinals are going to have a lot of work to do before they can field a team for OTA’s this spring.

There is the NFL Draft at the end of April, which will play a huge part in adding to certain positions.  For now, a look at five possible targets for the Cardinals when free agency opens up.
