The Arizona Cardinals will have a lot of options at number 15 in the first round but they could move up

There is still so much we will find out over the next two months prior to the 2018 NFL Draft, held on April 28-30.  The Arizona Cardinals are in the market for a quarterback but if their guy isn’t available, they have a number of other options.

The quarterback position is the most talked about.  Baker Mayfield from Oklahoma keeps coming up.  There is some disagreement where he will fall.

Some see him available at 15 but others believe he will be long gone before 15.  if that’s the case, do the Cardinals move up to get him?  Do they have eyes for someone like USC’s Sam Darnold or UCLA’s Josh Rosen?  Both will require a move up.

Louisville’s Lamar Jackson has seen interest from some Cardinals fans.  There hasn’t been much on the radar as far as the Cardinals have been concerned but maybe that means something?

Don’t sleep on the other positions of need however. At receiver, SMU’s Courtland Sutton could be there for the taking.  There is also the offensive line.

Guard Quenton Nelson will be the hot commodity.  He will also likely require a move up.  The Cardinals have not had much success with offensive linemen in the first round though.

What about tackle?  They may need one if Jared Veldheer doesn’t re-sign.  D.J. Humphries is always a mystery.  There is Texas’ Connor Williams or UCLA’s Kolton Miller.  Again, a tricky proposition when it comes to the Cardinals and the offensive line.

At safety Alabama’s Minkah Fitzpatrick is intriguing at 6’1.  He too may require a move up in the first round from 15.

With how the other needs play out and where certain players currently rank at the other positions, quarterback seems the most likely position the Cardinals will go after in the first round.  At least it appears that way at the moment.
