The Arizona Cardinals signed a free agent receiver this past week but should also look to the draft to add depth at the position

No question after the 2017 season ended, the Arizona Cardinals knew they were going to have to address the receiving position.  They got a little help with Larry Fitzgerald deciding to return for another season.

After him however, the Cardinals were basically left with J.J. Nelson and Chad Williams.  Jaron Brown and John Brown both went into free agency and both ended up with new teams.

Nelson has been inconsistent.  Williams struggled to find his way to the active roster in his rookie season.

That left the Cardinals with free agency and the draft.  They’ve only signed one receiver since the start of free agency.  They need more depth.

That is where the draft comes in.  The Cardinals are going to have to address the position at the draft.  The receiving class isn’t too deep but they could find themselves a future gem somewhere in the middle of the draft.

Their are only a couple of receivers to be projected as possible first rounders and the Cardinals won’t be focusing on receiver in the first round.  We take a look at who would fit with the Cardinals.
