The Arizona Cardinals have several players that are coming off season ending injuries heading into 2018

Unfortunately injuries were a major storyline for the Arizona Cardinals during the 2017 season. Heading in 2018, getting healthier is the key and the injured are on their way.

Running back David Johnson, who broke his hand in week one of the 2017 season, is back to what he calls 100 percent.  It is great news to see he made his way onto the field during the first workouts the team had last week.

Linebacker Markus Golden, who tore his ACL in October, ran with a brace on for the first time.  His timetable is currently unknown but seemingly is on track for a return sometime during training camp or early regular season.

There should be no rush on Golden though, no matter how good he says he feels.  Certainly he figures to be a major factor once again when he returns.

Offensive lineman D.J. Humphries said last week he also expects to be back by the time the 2018 regular season rolls around.  You’ll remember he dislocated his knee cap and suffered an MCL sprain.

Remember, that’s Humphries saying that.  We’ll see what the medical staff has to say about that but it is good to hear he seems to be on track as well.

Running back and kick returner T.J. Logan, who injured his hand in the same manner in the opening preseason game that Johnson did in the season opener, looks to be on track to return. He too is participating in team workouts.

Finally safety Antoine Bethea, who went on injured reserve the last week of the season, looks to return from a torn pectoral muscle.  There is no reason to believe he won’t be back to form.  He had five interceptions last season before being shut down.

The Cardinals also have other guys to watch like quarterback Sam Bradford and offensive lineman Mike Iupati.  For now though, it is a great feeling to put the 2017 injuries behind us for the most part.
