The Arizona Cardinals now know when they will play each opponent during the 2018 regular season

The NFL regular season opens on Thursday September 6th.  The Arizona Cardinals will open their season on Sunday September 9th hosting the Washington Redskins.

It will be the third time in the past four meetings between the two teams that will take place at University of Phoenix Stadium.  The Cardinals opened last season on the road at the Detroit Lions.

9/9 – Washington Redskins

9/23 – Chicago Bears

9/30 – Seattle Seahawks

10/7 – @ San Francisco 49ers

10/14 – @ Minnesota Vikings

11/11 – @ Kansas City Chiefs

11/18 – Oakland Raiders

11/25 – @Los Angeles Chargers

12/2 – @ Green Bay Packers

12/9 – Detroit Lions

12/16 – @ Atlanta Falcons

12/23 – Los Angeles Rams

The highlights:

The Cardinals will open at home in 2018.  In fact they play three of their first four games at home.  That is a departure from 2017 when they spent the first two weeks on the road.

Two of the last four games are at home as well.  They finish on the road at the Seattle Seahawks for the second straight season.

The NFL sends the Cardinals to a cold weather game at the Green Bay Packers.  Four Sunday early window games in all (Vikings, Chiefs, Packers, Falcons).

The bye week falls on week nine.  That is an excellent place for it to fall.

Just one national television game (so far).  The Cardinals are scheduled to host the Denver Broncos at University of Phoenix Stadium at 5:20 p.m. on October 18th.

All other NFC West teams play five national television games apiece.  That should tell you everything you need to know of how the NFL feels about the Cardinals.

November will be tough after the bye.  They have three of four on the road at the Chiefs, Chargers, and Packers after the bye.

Next: Sam Bradford primed to surprise in Arizona

However with getting to be at home for three weeks in October and three of four in September, it is an excellent change to get out of the gates fast.
